About Me
Born and raised in Ohio, I currently live in Chicago with my wonderful wife, Claire. We have a cat named for a fine president that has grown so large, he could bring down a gazelle. We’re both pretty nerdy and that’s reflected nicely by the fact that PBS is representing so hard on our TiVo.

I’m currently a senior developer at Duo Consulting, where I have the luxury of working with some of the most talented web professionals in the Windy City. The average day can see me developing in three different languages as I weave in and out of multiple operating and database systems. Pretty challenging, to say the least.
Prior to joining Duo, I spent four and half years at JPMorgan Chase writing object libraries and web applications to support Risk Management and retirement systems. I started writing C# in the beta days of 2001 and have solid experience with COM, Java and PHP as well as recreational experience with Python (the new flavor of the month). My current passion is in the UI/usability realm, focusing on Javascript and CSS. It’s still fun to write object libraries and application frameworks, but as that end of the game becomes commoditized, there still remains many interface challenges.
I’m a pretty huge Buckeye football fan and a little side project relating to that eats up a lot of my free time. It’s been a challenging, yet rewarding experience and it’s a great way to keep in contact with two lifelong friends.
Other likes: Playing hockey, traveling, eating out, kung-fu movies, mashups, physics texts I have to read 3 times to understand, politics, challenging projects, compulsively organizing my iTunes library, etc.
